ELK HUNTING
Our Wyoming elk hunting is absolutely some of the best in Wyoming. We are in the coveted area 7, widely known for record setting bulls. Our local and resident herd population has exploded in the last few years. We control the hunting on virtually
100% of the 17,000 acre ranch. With our wildlife friendly management, the resident herd feels safe and is thriving. The hunting is all spot and stalk,
greatly limiting the pressure on the elk. A 280-300 class elk is very common, with some 320-330 elk taken each year. Our largest bull was 362.5. Our success ratio is 100%. The typical shooting range is around 250-300 yards. All hunting is done with ATV's and 4-wheel drives. No personnel ATV's allowed. We are ideal for older people, women, and kids.
We have a large cow elk population that is on the ranch year around. They can be hunted from October 15th through January 31, depending on the weather. They are a very fun and economical hunt.
The hunting license application deadline is January 31. The license area for us is area 7. It is a draw area, and operates on a point system. A point only can be purchased for future use if you are unable to hunt in a particular year. This bull tag can be a little hard to draw, but history has proven that it is well worth the wait. The bull elk season typically is October 15th through November 20th. We offer 2 seven day elk hunts from the October 25th to the November 7th. An additional hunt can be added if necessary. We reserve the first hunt for combination elk/deer hunters. Fishing is offered in our stocked pond free of charge for all hunters. It is stocked with rainbow and brown trout. A fishing license must be purchased.
